Automotive Inventory Operations Manager

Location: Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team responsible for preparing vehicles for delivery, ensuring they meet our quality standards.

• Collaborate closely with sales and service departments to prioritize vehicle preparation based on customer needs.

• Oversee inventory management of detailing supplies and equipment, maintaining optimal stock levels by placing orders as needed.

• Ensure the dealership lot is well-organized for efficient vehicle access and utilization of space.

• Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure efficient and safe vehicle preparation processes.

• Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.

• Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize loss and enhance efficiency.

• Utilize analytical skills to analyze inventory data and recommend improvements to inventory management processes.

• Wash, dry, and vacuum vehicles to ensure they are presented to customers in pristine condition.

• Perform basic detailing tasks such as waxing, window cleaning, and tire dressing.

• Assist with lot organization and general cleanup duties as required.

• Monitor vehicle inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory manager to maintain accurate records.

• Assist with vehicle transport, including moving vehicles to and from storage areas.
• Conduct regular lot inspections to identify and address maintenance or safety issues.
• Provide support to sales and service departments, including assisting with customer vehicle pickups and deliveries.

Requirements:

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to established procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and possess a positive attitude.
