The Organization:

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.

At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.

Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.

Swim Instructor:

The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching District swim lessons at the direction of the Head Swim Instructor and Aquatics Manager.

Job Duties:

• Contributes to the teaching and oversight of swimming lessons.
• Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance, adhering to the dress code and exhibiting respect and enthusiasm.
• Acts promptly to aquatic emergencies following the District's Emergency Response Plan.
• Educates participants on the importance of adhering to rules and regulations.
• Assess and guide participants according to the District's swim lesson program criteria.
• Collaborates with the Head Swim Instructor regarding lesson plans and additional support requirements.
• Addresses parental inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care.
• Participates in regular in-service training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Have a valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification (WSI). We will consider other agencies' certification on a case-by-case basis.
