POSITION SUMMARY:

The Executive Medical Director isa Board-Certified Family Physicianwho serves as the deputy to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The Executive Medical Directoris responsible for providing clinical leadership, assisting with the achievement of superior quality metrics, and facilitating the preparation for site visits and audits. The Executive Medical Directorworks cooperatively under the direction of the CMO and with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the achievement of annual strategic goals and objectives.

KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provides interim leadership and site supervision for Health Center Medical Director Vacancies.

+ Provides guidelines for and consults with Operations on templates for Provider schedules.

+ Co - Creates programs and projects to enhance provider skills, hardwire evidence-based practice and improve patient outcomes.

+ Positively contributes to and informs the vision and culture of CCI.

+ Approves and develops workflows that maximize the use of the clinical care team and fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and excellence.

+ Drives the use of technology to enhance provider productivity and satisfaction to include the creation of EMR worksheets and order sets.

+ Assists in the development of medical policies, protocols, and procedures in accordance with evidence-based practice guidelines.

+ Assists with agency compliance related to policies and standards.

+ Supports the solicitation, development, management, and evaluation of grants.

+ Directs and administers the peer review process using evidence-based guidelines.

+ Examines, diagnose, and treats patients two days per week as needed.

+ Represents CCI at local, state, and national meetings as needs and interests dictate under the direction of and with approval of the CMO.

+ Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer or Chief Executive Officer.

+ In collaboration with the CMO plans curriculum for Provider staff meetings, supports patient medication assistance efforts, and monitors the use and flow of referrals (internal and external).

+ Contributes to provider recruitment, orientation, and retention leads provider interview process

+ Meets monthly with the CMO to discuss rounding questions and department needs.

+ Produces agendas for the HCMD, executive triad and credentialing committee meetings and leads discussions under supervision of CMO

+ Leads on boarding process for new clinicians and HCMDs

+ Directly supervises the occupation health needs of the organization and the support center

+ Supervises on call service assuring response in timely manner from (nurses triage service)

+ Directs telehealth services under supervision of CMO

+ Directly supervises Women's health and Behavioral Health departments with supervision from CMO

+ Supervises P.A. staff in primary or secondary role as needed.
