Quality Technician - 2nd Shift

Second Shift Quality Technician

Hours: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Job Summary
The Quality Technician conducts quality control inspections, checks, and tests throughout the manufacturing process of products. Furthermore, they examine materials, parts, and products at various production stages, documenting observations, and potentially offering corrective actions for process enhancements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and document nonconformities while conducting quality inspections.
• Review & approve batch/job paperwork from change over to batch record review.
• Determine product quality acceptance or rejection according to predefined specifications and quality standards.
• Interpret and comprehend product drawings and customer specifications accurately.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes.
• Support quality troubleshooting endeavors as needed.
• Collaborate with production floor personnel to effectively communicate quality expectations, address inquiries regarding quality concerns, and provide guidance on quality standards.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and other quality-related protocols to maintain product quality standards.

Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2-year Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• Experience working in a regulated industry.
• Proficient understanding of GMP/GDP regulations

Skills and Proficiencies

• Proficient in English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations and GMPs.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations.
• Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated self-motivation.
• Collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and planning skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Adaptability to accommodate changing schedules and priorities.
• Familiarity in utilizing measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, placement gauges, etc.
• Flexible availability for occasional overtime, including Saturdays & Sundays
