JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
A Quality Engineer assures customer requirements are met. Including defining what methods and equipment will be used to measure key quality characteristics of a process. They also work to improve the quality of a process, using data collected from the operations and applying problem solving techniques. Other duties of a Quality Engineer include:

A Quality Engineer assures customer requirements are met. Including defining what methods and equipment will be used to measure key quality characteristics of a process. They also work to improve the quality of a process, using data collected from the operations and applying problem solving techniques. Other duties of a Quality Engineer include:
- Experience working with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 or TS16949 Quality Management Systems
- Build working relationship with customers and suppliers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with all Jet personnel and customers on Quality issues
- Prepare AIAG PPAP's and FAI packages including dimensional inspection reports, PFMEAs, control plans and process flow diagrams.
- Experience in Six Sigma tools. Green Belt or higher preferred
- Familiar with capability studies, Cpk, Ppk and presentation of data using standard methods
- Working knowledge of Minitab and InspectionXpert preferred
- Collect data to create and present company metrics
- Handle customer complaints and returns of the final product and determine resolution of the problem
- Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M GD&T interpretation and application
- Audit manufacturing and QMS processes
- Provide technical support to inspection personnel
- Other tasks as assigned
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Five years experience with a manufacturing and automotive background
- Good decision making and problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to set and achieve goals and objectives
- Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office
- Able to work in a JIT manufacturing environment
