Vehicle Service Technician

Description:

Vital Medical Transport is hiring a Vehicle Service Technician (VST). The VST will make certain our vehicles are serviced, safe and prepared for response. This role will help our team maintain exceptional and timely medical transportation services, care and customer service to our patients.

• Vehicle Service Technicians will make sure that ambulances are fully stocked, safely maintained and prepared to provide medical transportation services.
• Maintain and clean vehicles to create a safe environment for the crew and the patients.
• Manage vehicle inventory daily to ensure each vehicle is fully stocked with supplies and equipment.
• Update the equipment tracking log and request replacements when necessary.
• Run regular mechanical checks including oil, washer fluid and batteries and report any maintenance issues.
• Work professionally to facilitate coordination of efforts between departments and crews.
• Drive vehicles as necessary to move and/or for maintenance and repair appointments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• State Driver's License, CDL Preferred but not mandatory
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Experience working with vehicles, preferably in healthcare

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work involves exposure to the elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises.
• Must be able to work in all environments.
• Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling objects over 75lbs.
• Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, walk and lift up to 75 pounds multiple times throughout a shift.
