What we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and safe Shop Foreman to facilitate support with technicians, test vehicles and their systems for a manufacturer and marketer of medium and heavy trucks in Commerce City, CO
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Delegate work tasks to technicians and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with the local engineering team to address issues found during shop operations.
- Capture and highlight specific issues that require documentation by engineers.
- Act as the safety liaison for the shop, ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Oversee the completion and accuracy of all First Article Inspection (FAI) documents.
- Serve as the primary contact for DOT and local fleet safety issues.
- Provide technical assistance and support to technician staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a shop environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, with experience in implementing safety measures.
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures and documentation.
- CDL preferred, but not required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical, Safety and Environmental Job Requirements
- Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items of up to 50 lbs and more
- Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
- The environment may be dusty, noisy and open to interior temperature changes
