Medical Claims Specialist

Medical Claims Specialist - Full-time 

*Onsite - Lehi, UT 

Serenity Healthcare is seeking a Medical Claims Specialist to provide the billing team with additional support in order to obtain financial compensation for medical claims. The claims specialist reviews unpaid medical claims and makes requests to insurance companies for payment.

Daily Responsibilities

• Audit claims to ensure accuracy
• Ensure patient information is accurate and complete
• Confirm patient benefits and insurance
• Monitor and resolve financial discrepancies
• File and maintain organized documentation of all billing and records
• Follow set billing processes and procedures
• Identify trends causing slow payment and work with manager to reduce aging AR
• Meet quality and production standards set by Serenity
• Maintain good working relationship with the billing team
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Comfortable being on the phone for extended periods of time
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of office products
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent Oral and Written communication
• Desire to learn and understand new concepts
