In-Store Service Technician

Overview: Budget Pools is a seasonal, retail Swimming Pool store where most positions require an employee to be very versatile. Although this is an in-store service position the candidate will at times help out with other positions throughout the store.

Hours: 30 – 50+ hours per week. This is a seasonal business primarily busiest April – September. It would be during these months 40 hours per week and overtime hours would apply.

Job Brief: We are looking for a mechanically inclined, self-starter who likes working with their hands, to drive in-store service success that improves customer satisfaction and increases profitability.

Requirements: Must pass a background check. Be able to lift heavy objects safely (minimum 75 lbs). Have strong knowledge of hand and power tools. The candidate will need to be organized and able to work independently, process service invoices, and vendor warranties, be proficient in English, and have strong verbal/written communication skills when assisting customers in person/on the phone. Any Pool/Spa Industry Training or Certifications would be a plus.

Service Department Requirements: Must have mechanical aptitude. Some knowledge of the Swimming Pool Industry would be a plus. Must be capable and willing to learn how to diagnose and service as needed. Be able to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
