Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and/or maintain project plans for engine assembly and risk burn-down
  • Develop recovery strategies when non-conformances or other escapes are identified
  • You will identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules.
  • Experience moving hardware through production (project engineering)
  • Precision assembly of rocket engine components: combustion devices, valves, turbomachinery, avionics, test
  • Root cause and diagnostic component disassembly, repair, and work hydraulic testing for valve actuation
  • Support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipment
  • Help maintain inventory of tooling and equipment Safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and high-pressure operations
  • Define how to prepare hardware for test, qualification, and flight Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule
  • Support DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build and test

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of direct valve, turbomachinery, or engine assembly experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, including working with NCs and ECRs
  • Comfortability leading communication with multiple teams for product improvement
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, resources, and programmatic risks
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Extensive experience reading and understanding specification and detailed work instructions
  • Proven experience and successful track record developing new processes

Salary Range: $80000-$155000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
