FOOD RUNNER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Food Runner Responsibilities:

The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. The Food Runner will need to maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organization of order tickets, and communicate effectively with the Back of House team. The Food Runner will report directly to the General Manager.

Food Runner duties will include, but are not limited to:

 Deliver food from the kitchen to guests dining in the restaurant

 Assist expeditor as needed and/or expedite if necessary

 Stock and organize the expo station

 Package to go orders and deliver to the bartender

 Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash

 Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties

 Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food

 Handle various impromptu requests from customers

 Possess a high degree of organizational skills to easily locate tables and bar patrons to fulfill everyone’s orders

 Uphold sanitation and food safety principles

Experience/Qualifications:

 High School Diploma or equivalent

 Ability to life up to 50 lbs and to stand for up to 10 hours as well as walk, bend, and stoop

 Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment

 Solid communication and interpersonal skills

 Availability to work flexible shifts

 A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus

Hours:

The Food Runner is a full time or part time position and hours will vary

Salary/Income:

The Food Runner is a non-exempt, hourly position
