ROLES WE ARE HIRING FOR: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine - DVM We are eager to grow our all star lineup of doctors. We are looking for someone who not only loves animals (kind of a no brainer ), but someone who also loves to help their people too. Whether you're an experienced DVM looking for a change of pace and fresh start or a new DVM wanting to get your feet wet and learn from the “Best”, we are the perfect hospital for you. This position is perfect for you if you love people and excel at getting to know unique things about them and their pets. We want someone who knows how to make pets and their people comfortable. We are looking for doctors who are experienced in surgery and dental. BONUS if you are experienced in TPLO, orthopedics, and rehab. We are striving to expand these services to our clients. Our hospital is a family-friendly atmosphere with a small-town feel. Our clients expect and should receive the “Best” in patient care. Our days in the hospital are busy but not chaotic. REQUIRED SKILL SETS Customer service, phone skills, computer skills, social media skills - translation - being okay with being a “face” of our business on social media. You are not afraid to talk to anyone, even the clients who may be struggling and are not in a good mood. You know how to serve customers to provide a great experience. Communication skills are HUGE - you must be able to communicate with your team so that everyone is on the same page and can fulfill the mission of the hospital. This means not being afraid to talk to people, knowing or being willing to learn how to communicate effectively and in a balanced way. You must have exceptional patient care skills but also excellent communication skills to pass along directions for other staff members to carry out and understand the client needs and co-worker expectations. This role requires good patient handling skills and a scientific mind for the detailed tasks that are required. We are looking for a person with exceptional knowledge who is respectful and can work as a team player to provide the best level of care. A majority of the current team started at the beginning (kennel attendants) and worked their way up - including doctors and all of the management team. WHAT WE AREN’T LOOKING FOR If you are a solitary individual and don’t like working with people, this hospital is not for you. While most of us come into this profession because we “love animals”, it is a very people-heavy industry. We can’t accomplish our goals without the clients on the other end of the leash or the one carrying the pet taxi. While we value prior experience, you need to be open to learning and adapting to our ways, techniques and protocols. This is not to say that we can’t learn from you, but please come into this position with an open mind, eager to learn and interact. The easiest way to offend our team is to constantly say, “at my old job, we did it like this”! We would love to learn from you, but first you must be willing to learn from us.
