Service Technician

CopperState Fire Protection, a Pye-Barker company, is currently hiring for a Service Technician in our Phoenix, Arizona branch.

Position Summary: Service Technicians are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler and/or suppression fire alarm systems. Technicians will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conducting service calls for commercial customers
• Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and suppression equipment
• Prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports
• Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
• System testing and inspecting to the prescribed NFPA standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off-site
• Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
• Has excellent attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Required Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation required
• NICET and / or CSA Certification is preferred
• Ability to install, inspect, program, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and or fire sprinkler systems
• Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
• Strong time management skills
• Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Must speak English
• Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
