Summary

The Field Project Supervisor Lead Technician is responsible for the overall communication and completion of each project including project scheduling with the customer. This position also coordinates the installation with the customer, technical personnel and any associated sub-contractors of other trades. This is a field-based position, required to work on the field side by side with Technicians.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily activities and scheduling of installation personnel to maximize efficiency and real-time utilization of resources. · Interfaces with Sales, Administration and General Manager to ensure smooth coordination of project scheduling, progress and deadlines through completion. · Responsible for upgrades and alterations to existing systems; including quoting, closing the sale, and getting the appropriate paperwork. · Provides input and identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases. Coordinates and assists in development of any project change orders. · Performs job walks as needed to determine project scope and follow up on jobs in progress. · Participates in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process meetings as appropriate. · Assess personnel performance regarding quality of work and customer satisfaction. · Follows up on escalated customer service issues or complaints and ensures satisfactory resolution. · Ensures established work standards are adhered to and evaluates department performance. · Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off-site. · Takes corrective measures as needed within company guidelines. · Actively works with Human Resources on all human capital and employment issues and to maintain branch and subcontractor compliance with OSHA, Company Safety and Hazard Communication Policies. · Ensures technicians submit time and attendance by job accurately through any current time and attendance programs. · Effectively reads, interprets and completes general business documentation. Reads and interprets blue prints and diagrams. · The position is field based and will have no more than fifteen hours per week in office.

Other Duties

Actively supports and adheres to the Company Safety Policy. Submits time and attendance by job accurately through any current time and attendance programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement and Company Safety Policy.

Qualifications

Associates degree in electronics from an accredited college or three (3) years work experience in the Fire Protection Industry. NICET certification level II or higher. Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must read and speak English. Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized. Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, and Email. Must pass criminal background check and drug test. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Complies with applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures. U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Certificates/Licenses

NICET certification level II or higher. NBFAA Level I

Supervisory Responsibilities

Maintains a thorough understanding of the scope of work on individual projects. Coordinate project documentation with Sales, Administration, Billing and CAD designers, Coordinate material deliveries with Sales, Corporate Purchasing and Service Coordinator. Supervises all technicians and subcontractors through the completion of each project.

Physical Demands

Must be able to life a minimum of 50 lbs. Must give full disclosure of any fear/phobia of heights and or close spaces. Must be able to use a ladder and/or scissor lift.
