Lead WMOS Software Developer

Job Description:
Bachelor's degree -- or foreign equivalent -- in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or 12 years of progressively responsible experience in software development
Intermediate knowledge of the business systems and technologies within the Logistics domain with a specific focus preferably on Manhattan WMOS systems
Demonstrated experience leading successful development efforts
Experience inspiring and motivating people to fulfill their potential
Ability to promote teamwork and establish a foundation of trust among team members
Experience with CI (Continuous Integration) methodologies and tools, including automated testing tools
Highly knowledgeable and skilled in software development practices and techniques including but not limited to:
Source code management -- branching, tagging, and merging
Strong data management principles, around data architecture, modeling/design, data quality, security, data organization, and operations
Must have experience with Distribution Centers and Warehouse Management Systems
Experience in Transportation Management systems, Manhattan Slotting, and Labor Management systems is nice to have
Experience implementing WM systems into new DCs and/or retrofitting WM systems into existing DCs
Experience with Proship or other similar rate shopping tools is a big plus
Communication Skills: Has excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information of the platform in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

Experience building teams for services gateway and CI/CD pipelines from scratch
Object-oriented design and development
Java technologies - J2EE and the Spring framework
Skilled in writing and presenting -- able to craft needed messages, so they are clearly expressed and easily understood
Has 1+ years of supervisory experience and
12+ yrs experience in software development/ Implementation and delivery
Description:
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
