Job Description
We have an opening at our Tulsa location. The role of a Care Coordinator II requires a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health related field. Minimum of one year work experience in the mental health field or related social service field.

The starting salary for a Care Coordinator II is $49,201.67

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. We are Oklahoma's only community mental health center certified in the Sanctuary model of care. Using this model, the agency provides trauma-informed care helping to create an environment of safety, identify and manage emotions, process loss and help clients create a future of growth and change. Due to tremendous growth, we are hiring Case Manager II at our Tulsa location. As a member of our CRS team, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for our patients by delivering one-on-one clinical guidance and support.


This position will provide case management services to clients who are court ordered to our program through a civil court order. These clients usually have experienced a recent psychiatric hospitalization in which the supervising staff deemed outpatient services a necessity. This position will work closely with external court staff as well as their internal treatment team. This position will be responsible for engaging regularly with clients and preparing court reports based on client progress. Duties include but are not limited to assessing case management needs, providing skills-based interventions and education, tracking and reporting on progress or regression in treatment. The ideal candidate for this position would possess a high-level patience and flexibility, as well as a good working knowledge and experience working with the seriously mentally ill population. Candidate will be responsible for incorporating the agency’s Sanctuary Model principles and tools into client care. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in the field of social or human services from a recognized university. Must have or be eligible for Case Management II certification. Minimum of one-year experience working with adults in a mental health or related social service field. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organizes and presents facts effectively.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, and support staff in order to develop professionalism and coordination within the team.
  • Must possess good working knowledge of community social service resources, basic crisis management skills, behavioral health resources, ability to provide trauma-informed care and a commitment to the Sanctuary Model components.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and in an emotionally intelligent manner with clear, polite, and respectful communication with staff, youth served, administration, public school personnel, and the community- in person, through written correspondence and on the telephone.
  • Must demonstrate professional and ethical behavior as well as the ability to maintain strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding client information at all times.
  • Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.



Example of Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage a crisis involving a client, including a threat of suicide or harm to others.
  • To provide targeted support services (behavior management, daily living skills, social skills); linkage with community supports; referral to local needed services; advocacy; service coordination; and follow -up on behalf of client and their family who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral challenges that are significantly interfering with their success at home, school, work or in the community.
  • Lead non-diagnostic interview with the client and his/her family to assess service needs.
  • Provide services to clients in their homes, communities, and schools (if applicable) while incorporating the entire family and supports in the treatment program, with a focus on their strengths as well as the client's age, developmental level, and cultural heritage.


Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences/facilities.
