Director Early Childhood Education and Care Services

Summary

This position serves as a critical member of the executive management team in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Duties

The Director will articulate and implement the strategic vision and leadership of the agency in collaboration with the Executive Director; evaluate the effectiveness of programs to provide ongoing feedback; provide mentoring, guidance, supervision and professional development to all leadership staff and enhance the structure of the organization by staying abreast of developments in early childhood education and care and and its relationship to child welfare. The Director will be responsible for planning, providing oversight and advancing high quality Infant and Early Learning services; development and implementation of an effective TWO-GEN parent and child learning framework and collaborate with colleagues internally and externally to advance the strategic priorities of the agency program within the Savannah-Chatham County community.

Requirements

Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field of study as required by Bright From the Start. Demonstrated facilities and program management experience.

Nice To Haves

A passion to help children and families thrive. Previous experience supervising and training a diverse staff ranging from GED to Master's level. Demonstrated experience in managing a high performing team in a multi-site structure to include professional development and mentorship. Demonstrated experience in opening an Early Learning Center from construction to operational plans is desirable.
