Summary: Morris, Inc. is seeking a driven individual to operate the scraper for numerous jobs around the company and to perform the duties including, but not limited to, those listed below. This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate must prioritize and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper wear of PPE as per company guidelines.
Essential Duties and Requirements:
- Operate scraper to load and place dirt in proper fill and borrow areas.
- Strip topsoil and other material to acceptable limits for reclamation and open pit mining.
- Grade areas of a cut, or fill to the designated elevations and sloped with proper information from plans and adequate grade staking.
- Operate scraper with other equipment such as another scraper for push/pull operation, or work with push dozer to maximize production of earthwork.
- Operate machine consistent with safety policies of the company as well as any rules and regulations required by state and federal safety standards.
- Load and unload equipment off trucks.
- Oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments or repairs to equipment.
- Will perform some prep work, getting areas ready for actual work.
- Fill out equipment sheets on a daily basis and do any necessary follow up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with heavy equipment
- Previous experience in construction and operation of machinery
- Physically capable of doing manual work and lifting at least 75 lbs
- Dependability and ability to follow specific instructions carefully
- Wear Proper PPE per company guidelines
