We seek an individual with previous experience in managing facility maintenance and sanitation. Candidates will troubleshoot issues and respond with proactive solutions and must be able to work independently; create, delegate, and verify task assignments; and use sound judgment in prioritizing all work. The Maintenance Supervisor will organize and supervise hourly staff and work with vendors to obtain pricing for repairs and preventative maintenance. They must communicate effectively with the team and leadership. This role oversees inventory and organizes supplies to ensure that resources are available. Safety and/or OSHA training is desired. Since locations are spread out, reliable personal transportation is a must. While this is a Mon-Fri position, there may be times that require after-hours or weekend work.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean appearance in the parking facilities.
  • Handle most minor facility repairs and installations
  • Analyze and manage, in a proactive manner, the operational performance of the assigned buildings.
  • Control supplies, equipment, and personnel necessary to meet customer specifications. 
  • Interact with customers daily to obtain feedback on services and needs. 
  • Troubleshoot potential problems and concerns.
  • Manage the company’s quality control monitoring, inspections, and safety programs at the assigned buildings.
  • Conduct quality of service inspections at assigned buildings.
  • Develop operational improvement plans and implements process changes within assigned buildings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local government regulations.
  • Ensure all paperwork, including staff discipline and terminations, incident reports, labor plans, etc is complete, accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that payroll reporting is accurate and submitted to in a timely manner and correct schedule discrepancies as needed.
  • Implement any training programs required by Management. 
  • Onboard and train hourly maintenance employees.
  • Ensure all tasks noted in checklists are completed as directed by hourly staff and observe and review all work to ensure proper execution.
  • Report observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the facility manager in a timely manner.
  • Operate gas or electric powered equipment (such as sweepers or scrubbers). 
  • Participate in snow and ice removal. Be available as soon as possible during inclement weather scenarios. 
  • Complete and submit daily required daily reports.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and informatively with co-workers and customers.
  • Positive attitude always, especially when responding to requests for service and assistance.
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn and navigate multiple platforms quickly and capably.
  • Ability to work with an agile mindset and navigate a dynamic workflow.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of job including working for long stretches of standing and/or walking; able to lift 50 pounds; and perform tasks, such as shoveling snow.
  • High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle and acceptable DMV record.
