Commercial Manager - Industrial Minerals

The core responsibility of the Commercial Manager within the Industrial Minerals Sector is to increase the adoption of Derrick fine screening technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both technical and external sales teams to expand market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and drive revenue growth globally. Coordinating efforts across various teams, the Commercial Manager will identify the appropriate products and services required to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership between Derrick and its customers. Travel, both domestically and internationally, is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and execute strategic sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Evaluate the existing sales channel distribution model and performance using established KPIs.
- Educate and develop agents/distributor network on Derrick’s premium product offerings and the benefits of value-added sales focusing on ROI, TCO, NPV, etc.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on sales performance.
- Collaborate with Process and Application Engineering teams to understand and recommend the most effective technical solutions for customers.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for the sector.
- Work in partnership with the Sales and Legal teams during contract negotiations.
- Oversee, assist, and strategically partner with key accounts.
- Deliver high-level sales presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct all activities in alignment with Derrick Corporation Values
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mining, and/or Mineral Processing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years’ cumulative experience encompassing:
- Sales of capital equipment within industrial minerals industries.
- Territory management and oversight of agent/distributor networks.
- Preference for experience in wet and dry screening applications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM software
