Summary:
In a manufacturing setting, we are looking to add a Senior Industrial Electrician to our manufacturing team in Houston who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, trouble shooting, and repairing of industrial equipment and associated electrical components and controls.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent (Crosby, TX)
Schedule: 12 hour Rotating shift with weekend/ night / holiday shift coverage required (7 on/7 off)
7pm-7am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out in the installation, examination, replacement or repair of electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic, and coaxial assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components;
- Responsible for performing preventative maintenance program (inspection and examination of machinery and equipment) and accurately filling out records.;
- Read blueprints and schematics, trouble shoot and problem solve to maintain and repair equipment and controls;
- Clean and organize shop and other areas of the plant;
- Check forms of communication daily regarding repairs needed;
- Record and document all servicing;
- Keep an inventory of parts necessary to perform duties;
- Increase knowledge of operating systems;
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned, including other mechanical maintenance type work.
Qualifications:
- Industrial Electrician trade certification required;
- Experience with PLCs and Automation highly desired;
- Industrial electrician experience: Minimum 3 years required.
- Able to work unsupervised;
- Must possess mechanical abilities and manual dexterity;
- Able to follow instructions and prioritize tasks;
- Able to endure physical labor and perform shift work;
- Able to identify new opportunities for improvement;
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
- Forklift and Scissor lift experience an asset.
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods;
- May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
