Mechanic Welder

We are seeking a talented Welder to build and repair commercial machinery with diesel mechanic understanding for our Fort Worth, TX location. Applicants must have a willingness to learn and a strong mechanical aptitude. Applicants should have some knowledge in construction equipment, service management, diesel experience, and heavy machinery experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ability to fabricate from verbal instructions and/or from blueprints.
• Must be a proficient MIG welder (TIG & aluminum MIG a bonus)
• Experience making simple jigs and fixtures.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles. Be able to troubleshoot equipment.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Positive attitude and pride in delivering quality work.
• Ability to pass a MIG welding test and metal finishing test.
• Ability to run a manual lathe.
• Experience using a forklift.
• Works under limited supervision.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. plus overtime when needed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of industry experience working with heavy machinery or vehicles

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, and squatting
• Standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
