 POSITION SUMMARY

 The Electronic Technician will assemble machined parts with the required hardware, calibrate the test set-up to make measurement test plans and create test reports. They will work with a team of design and test engineers to build and test prototype antennas and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  •  Assemble and wire, using schematics and blueprints completing electromechanical assemblies forming all necessary cabling, wiring, and routing per drawings.
  • Soldering and crimping of mechanical assemblies.
  • Assist in the development of work instructions and procedures. 
  • Assist with new products transitioning to production.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to present a professional workplace environment.
  • Identifying potential production issues.
  • Perform duties as assigned by manager.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience needed: 

  • 2+ years of experience working with and tuning passive microwave components including hybrids, magic tees, filters, OMTs, and different antennas. 

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to test assemblies using tools such as network analyzers and signal generators.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and research manufacturing issues.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly concepts in performing assembly to schematics.
  • Advanced soldering with IPC training/certification
  • Knowledge of use, repair, and maintenance of machines and tools.  
  • Ability to read drawings and bill of materials.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and be on their feet most of the day.

Education

  • Associate’s degree in engineering, technology or advanced electromechanical experience in RF environment or US Military electronics training. 

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
