Registered Dental Hygienist

Seeking Part Time OR Full Time Registered Dental Hygienist in Turnersville, NJ - Sign on bonus, great pay, benefits!

We are looking for a full time Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health for our patients. We are a private practice and with the latest technology, our practice allows efficient and effective hygiene appointments. Please have a New Jersey Dental Hygiene license.

Schedule: Part time or full time (please apply if you can work any of the following days)

• Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm
• Friday closed
• Saturday 8-1 (2 a month & no Saturdays in the summer months)

Compensation:

• $45-52 per hour (DOE, negotiable)
• Sign on bonus ($2,000)

Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
• Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
• Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
• Take X-rays or dental impressions
• Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies
• Charting and treatment planning based on the Doctors diagnosis

Dental Hygienist Skills:

• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Outstanding communication skills
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
• Valid license to practice in the state of New Jersey
• Dentrix or comparable dental software preferred
