The Fine Gardener Assistant plays a crucial role in caring for the exquisite landscapes surrounding our clients' homes and businesses. This involves meticulous pruning, creating captivating container arrangements, mastering the art of planting, tackling weeds with precision, and collaborating closely with our Fine Gardening Lead.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with various projects such as garden clean-ups, perennial maintenance, fertilizing, mulching, planting, pruning, and watering as directed
• Execute tasks with attention to detail
• Maintain gardens regularly by weeding, mulching, and fertilizing
• Assist with seasonal container planting and upkeep
• Participate in exterior and interior holiday dcor installations
• Ensure daily removal of debris from the premises

Requirements:

• Passion for the outdoors, plants, and garden aesthetics
• Eagerness to learn about plants, horticulture, and best gardening practices
• Professional and effective communication skills
• Physical stamina to lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to write detailed daily fieldwork logs
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Essential Job Functions:
This job requires the following essential job functions:

The Fine Gardener Assistant is classified as being from medium to heavy work based on the lifting requirements. This job requires frequently lifting either 20 30 pounds or even 40 60 pounds of objects. Occasionally, in any of the job assignments, pushing and pulling up to 50 100 pounds is necessary.

This job requires frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, and feeling. The ability to walk distances and maintain stamina and stability is constantly required. The ability to have hand/eye and hand/foot coordination is constantly required. Fine Gardeners are involved in climbing and balancing in their work. They are required to at times work from ladders and must work in fluctuating temperatures and adverse weather conditions (e.g. 90-degree heat, high wind, rain). Up to 95% of the Team Members' time is spent in outdoor work.

All Landscape/ Fine Gardening Team Members are exposed to the expected hazards and atmospheric conditions of an industrial environment (i.e., fumes, odors, mists, gases, toxic chemicals, electrical and mechanical instrumentation equipment, and high noise levels) may be encountered.
