Job Duties

• Primary job duty is sealing entry points around structures to prevent rodent and small animal entry.
• This typically involves:
  • Replacing and/or repairing attic and foundation vents
  • Sealing holes in the exterior siding/foundation
  • Installing weatherstripping to pedestrian and garage doors
  • Some minor construction (rebuilding subarea access doors, replacing trim, etc.)
• The job also requires sanitizing areas of rodent/animal activity, which typically involves:
  • Removing and disposing of dead rodents
  • Vacuuming and/or removing rodent/animal feces
  • Removing and replacing soiled insulation
  • Disinfecting areas of rodent/animal activity
• Requires work in attics, crawlspaces, on ladders, and on roofs
• Work while wearing all necessary PPE
• Maintain company vehicle and tools in a clean and well-organized manner
• Use a smartphone/tablet to access schedule, work orders, and time clock system

Skills

• Work well alone or part of a team
• Ability to read, understand, and complete work from written work orders
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and clients, both written and verbally
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools (hand shears, utility knives, hammers, bars, screw guns, drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws, etc.)

Requirements

• Legally able to work in the United States
• Valid Driver License

Experience

• Preferred 1 year experience in a handyman/construction trades capacity
