POSITION Summary:  Oversees the movement of finished goods from the factory to their destination. Responsible for scheduling shipments, coordinating with carriers, overseeing the loading, and unloading of trucks, and verifying shipping documents. Ensures that products are shipped on time and in perfect condition, meeting all relevant regulations. In addition, supervises a team of shipping clerks and other personnel, delegating tasks and ensuring that everyone follows safety protocols.

​ Essential position Functions:

• Oversee the transportation of goods from the manufacturing plant to the customers.
• Ensure that all packages are properly labeled and loaded onto delivery trucks.
• Schedule and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary shipping documents, such as bill of lading and customs forms.
• Track inventory and monitors, stock levels of finished products.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure the availability of products for shipment.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Supervise and train shipping clerks and other team members in the shipping department.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area and follow good housekeeping practices.
• Oversee movement of products between US and Mexico facilities.

Education/Experience:

• ​High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in shipping within a manufacturing organization.
• Experience with shipping and customs requirements of Mexico a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of shipping processes and software.
• Knowledge of industry regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft products (email, excel, word, PowerPoint).
