Responsibilities:
- Oversight of kitchen operations for a 70-seat restaurant serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
- Responsible for hiring, firing, training, inspiring, mentoring, scheduling, encouraging, herding, and nurturing a staff of approximately 10-15.
- Responsible for planning and execution of exceptional, changing menus as well as take-away catering, special events, buyouts, parties, and offsite.
- Engaging with local vendors and visiting the farmers market weekly.
- Accountable for maintaining all budgeted costs and profitability.
- Collaborate with owners/managers to constantly improve, develop, and evolve food and operations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in an Executive Sous Chef/Chef De Cuisine role.
- Strong, mature, respectful leader with passion, energy, drive, and integrity, a team player with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in a clear, concise, thorough manner.
- Experience in production kitchens is highly valued.
- Spanish speaking is preferred/helpful as kitchen staff but not required.
- Ambitious and wants to grow with their exciting brand!
Compensation & Benefits:
- $75K - $100K base salary
- Monthly healthcare reimbursement
- 2 meals comped monthly with a guest onsite
