Snelling is searching for an experienced Manual Machinist for a well-established company in the Helena, AL area. The starting pay rate for this position is $20.00-22.00+/hr, and it is a 1st shift position. Apply today with Confidence!!

Job Responsibilities for Manual Machinist:

Machine plates including aluminum, iron & steel.
Machine pins to close tolerance.
Drilling, tapping, and milling.
Maintain a clean workspace.

Skills & Abilities Required for Manual Machinist:

Work from provided detailed manufacturing drawings.
Efficient in the use of manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and vertical milling machines.
Use of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
Ability to interact positively with co-workers.
Dependable. On-time. Self-starter.

Experience Needed for Manual Machinist:

2-3 years minimum of Manual Machinist experience with a strong manual lathe required!
Need to be comfortable using all types of tools
Need to have some forklift and/or overhead crane operating experience
Experience using drill pressing, milling machines, and handheld measuring instruments
