Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated individual enjoy working outdoors, possesses a wide variety of Landscaping skills, supervisory and scheduling crew experience. You will perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance duties at several different clients in the greater area of Nashville (private schools, churches, and other non-profits).
Compensation
starting $23-24.00 per hour (negotiable upon skills and experience) plus Benefits
Regular hours: Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM (somewhat flexible)
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of three years of operating commercial lawn care equipment and supervisory experience
- Perform landscaping duties that include, but are not limited to planting, seeding, mowing, landscape trimming, weed eating, leaves blowing and removal of snow.
- Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, trees Installation of a variety of hardscape applications, and lawn bed maintenance
- Operation of small tractors, Bobcat and other pertinent equipment a plus
- Installation and maintenance of Irrigation system a plus
- Performing maintenance and minor repairs on various pieces of landscape equipment.
- Occasionally engaging in other work activities, such as moving furniture, setting up and tearing-down public events, and assisting with basic repairs to meet customer needs.
- Must be able to handle a work shift with constant motion; including bending and twisting the body, making repetitive motions, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods,
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 pounds (on an intermittent basis)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, with some exposure to inclement weather and loud conditions
- Ability to document completed tasks into a computer-based work order system
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diplomaor GED
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record necessary for operating company vehicles
- Must be able to pass the criminal background check required to work in educational facilities with children present. (100% reimbursement of fingerprinting fees)
- Must be able to work on a smoke-free campus
