Business Systems Analyst

ESO Consultants is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding and documenting user needs to facilitate the development of appropriate systems. This role involves identifying user problems within existing systems and opportunities for reengineering to enhance efficiency. The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience as a business analyst. Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.

- Design new computer programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.

- Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.

- Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.

- Define project requirements by identifying milestones, phases, and elements, forming project teams, and establishing project budgets.

- Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.

- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, or a related discipline.

- Minimum of five years' experience as a business analyst.

- Proficiency with ARIS preferred.

- Strong analytical skills.

- Proficiency with MS Visio required.

- Proficiency in business writing.

- Experience in business process mapping using BPMN standards.

- Excellent documentation abilities.

- Proficiency in writing Standard Operating Procedures.

- Strong proficiency in analyzing agency-specific metrics and KPIs to reduce operating costs.

- Experience in Business Process Modelling (& management) with ARIS Designer/Architect preferred.

- Experience in Business Process Modelling (& management) with MS Visio required.
