Work Schedule/Hours: 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-12:30pm (Monday-Thursday, 4x10s)

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of activities involved in final preparation and painting of load cell and related equipment with urethane based paint and spraying equipment. Maintains a high degree of quality, meets quantity targets while following standards and procedures. Must work individually and as a team as required to achieve production, quality, and quantity goals. Performing repetitive work is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Industrial application requiring excellent cosmetic finish Responsible for preparation, fixturing and painting of parts
  • Paint booth operations and maintenance
  • Daily maintenance of spray equipment
  • Work collaboratively and in a team environment to complete discrete tasks
  • Able to work with precision and follow standardized, existing procedures
  • Completes paperwork and moves work onto the next stage of production in a completed, accurate state
  • Must be able to distinguish the colors red and blue
  • Must be able to perform in-process inspection in conformance with existing procedures
  • Must be available to work overtime including Saturdays as production demands require
  • Must listen and take direction well
  • Offers suggestions and improvements as they see them
  • Willing and able to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with existing standards and procedures
  • Interested in performing tasks primarily requiring solitary attention with periodic group work
  • Able to understand and demonstrate how the tasks they perform fit into the overall assembly process and use of the device
  • Understand how load cells are used in the industry and for what purpose the customer uses the device
  • Concentration for long periods of time and repetitive tasks with little variation

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Able to demonstrate calibration proficiency, and use of all tools and equipment
  • Reading and verbal English communication skills
  • Having eyesight capable of performing precision work over long periods of time

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school or GED equivalent

ENVIRONMENT: Bench work, seated and standing, environmentally controlled, non-hazardous chemical fumes, varying degrees of noise, from fans and related paint spraying equipment, closed space, and repetitive tasks with little variety

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
