JOB SUMMARY

A Heavy Equipment - Diesel Technician inspects, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered equipment.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

• Previous experience in heavy truck, equipment, or automotive mechanics.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel equipment, electrical, hydraulic and drive train systems is preferred.
• Welding and fabricating experience is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms.
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
• Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.
• Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills.

LOCATION

Fort Lupton, Firestone, Platteville - Colorado

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run diagnostic tests on equipment.
• Identify problem(s).
• Make necessary repairs.
• Test drive the equipment to determine if properly repaired.
• Performs maintenance activities on heavy equipment.
• Orders required parts.
• Experience in repair of aggregate crushing and wash plant equipment would be considered a plus.
