Parts Clerk

Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING a full-time Parts Clerk in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!

The Parts Clerk assists with the day-to-day operations of the Sacramento Parts procurement department.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Order parts and supplies from various suppliers, ensuring timely delivery.

· Compare parts costs and negotiate with suppliers for the best prices.

· Receive and manage inventory of parts in Maintenance Connections.

· Ship packages and receive parcels and equipment.

· Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.

· Research and source parts as needed, including emergency orders.

· Create and manage purchase orders to fulfill inventory needs.

· Organize and store parts in the stockroom, ensuring availability.

· Assign parts to work orders and discuss usage with plant personnel.

· Provide advice on part substitution or modification when needed.

· Participate in audits and quality system implementation as required.

· Analyze data and run reports to track inventory levels and performance.

· Assist in training Parts Clerks and oversee their activities.

· Manage emergency orders and find alternative sources when necessary.

· Maintains and stores parts in stockroom.

· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience Required:

· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.

· 3 months of Stockroom experience is REQUIRED

· Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills for Success:

· Capable of using various systems including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance connections.

· Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product.

· Must be proficient in math.

· Must be proactive.

· English required, Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands:

· Can regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

· Can occasionally sit, twist at the waist, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.

· Can lift up to 10lbs regularly, up to 25lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 50lbs

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; forklifts, vehicles; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
