Quality Technician

Day Shift (M-F)

Key Responsibilities:

 Conduct daily inspections and comparisons of print tickets/jobs to ensure files are error free utilizing Global Vision.

 Confers with production, finishing, customer service and shipping in meeting customer requirements and specifications.

 Perform quality calibrations as stated in SOP.

 Verification of certificate of compliance (COC), and proper maintenance of records for customer specifications.

 Conduct process and documentation audits as required.

 Perform incoming visual/dimensional (V&M) inspection, in-process (SPC) and final batch sampling using acceptance sampling plans and table usage.

 Investigate complaints and maintenance of RA/NC/MD/CM spreadsheet. Disposition of non-conforming material and reviewing data, generating Pareto charts for distribution.

 Maintenance of COA’s (Certificate of Analysis); SOP reviews; “obsolete” forms; pest control program; and environmental program.

 Work with sales and engineering staff to maintain bottle colors and for functionality testing.

 Send out supplier surveys and work with purchasing to decrease quality issues.

 Create and conduct cGMP annual training.

 Maintain quality manuals.

 Must follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to job function; and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S).

 Must comply with all company policies.

Knowledge/Skills:

 High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

 Computer knowledge of Excel & Word.

 Takes initiative and meets deadlines.

 Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task efficiently.

 Ability to work independently from general instructions and be able to problem solve.

 Able to discuss technical problems encountered with manager, engineering or purchasing staff.

 Ability to analyze results and identify out-of-control conditions, processes and trends.

 Strong math, grammar, verbal and written communication skills needed.

 Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, densitometers, barcode verifiers.

 Understanding of quality and/or printing processes and procedures preferred.

 Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
