Nuclear Med Technologist

Pride Health is hiring for a Nuclear Med Technologist to support our client’s medical facility based in Irving, TX. This is a 3-month contract to hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex Nuclear Medicine Imaging procedures as requested by physician
• Calculate order/prepares and administers correct dosage of radiopharmaceuticals and nonradioactive pharmaceuticals within the scope of practice and under the discretion of the radiologist.
• Enter all patient doses in NMIS and complete studies in RIS and PACs
• Hook up patients for all Nuclear Stress tests, perform and chart stress tests information with performing regular stress tests when needed
• Ensure operation of all Nuclear Medicine equipment by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunction; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
• Perform quality control as follows: Daily Gamma Camera Uniformity flood, Daily Dose Calibrator and Well Counter Constancy. Perform weekly Gamma Camera bars resolution.
• Perform Monthly Gamma Camera Uniformity flood, 90 and 180 degree MHR and 180 degree COR.
• Perform all quarterly dose calibrator linearity and quarterly and annual ACR quality control
• Maintain Radiation Protection Program as needed.
• Perform all duties of the RSO. (with the exception of signing paperwork)
• Maintain all records for Radioactive Materials License for TDH.
• Maintain Nuclear medicine supplies and inventory and order when needed.
• Perform any other duties requested by my Manager.
• Verify patient and orders. Explain to patient procedure and obtain patient history

Qualifications:

• Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a medical Radiologic Technologist
• Nuclear Medicine certification by a ARRT or NMTCB Licensing
• ACLS Certified

• Location: Irving, TX
• Job Type: Contract to Hire
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am – 5pm
• Pay Range: $37- $45 per hour
