Quality Control Manager

Our company is a designer & manufacturer of heat exchangers and pressure vessels designed and constructed in accordance with the ASME Section VIII, Division 1 Code.  We have staff in-house to perform thermal design, mechanical engineering and drafting as well as welding and fabrication.

The position for consideration is Managing the Quality Control Department.  Duties would include interacting with the engineering, material procurement and fabrication departments to ensure that production is performed to the satisfaction of the Code and acting as liaison with the ASME inspector who monitors these activities.  Duties would also include working with customers as needed, to determine their technical requirements as relating to quality concerns and to make sure these requirements are satisfied.

We have an extensive library of WPS’s qualified per ASME Section IX but there can be instances where new procedures will be required to be developed.  Some jobs will require that specific technical procedures be written for that application, depending on the customer’s needs.

The Quality Manager is ultimately responsible to maintain the ASME Code certification of the company and its related daily activities.

The position requires a B.S. degree in M.E. or M.E.T, (or equivalent experience) and  ability to read Cad drawings, and be able to read and interpret technical documents.
