Communications Associate

One Church is seeking a Communications Associate who will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications, marketing, and communication department services at One Church under the guidance of the Communications Director. This role involves creating digital and print materials according to brand standards, driving engagement through social media, and initiating plans to deliver key messages that ensure consistency and continuity while reinforcing the mission and goals of One Church. 

This position reports to the Communications Director and works closely with all staff. This position will be full-time, working 40 hours per week.

You will: 

• Ensure that the church's overall vision is being communicated effectively in every facet of the marketing strategy and communication plan. 
• Help maintain and refine the branding and style guidelines of One Church in all communications. 
• Oversee all graphic design efforts at One Church. 
• Standardize messaging across all communications platforms (digital, in person, print). 
• Oversee, update and monitor One Church’s website, social media platforms, Google Accounts, and all other communications platforms. 
• Capture and share the life changing stories happening at One Church. 
• Develop and execute marketing strategies and communications plans for all campaigns, events, and other important initiatives. 
• Be an integral part of the Communications Team. 
• Order various promotional merchandise and printed materials for outposts, events, and ministries (apparel, giveaway items, banners, etc). 
• Oversee all internal and external communications re: important information, crisis communications, etc. 

You Have: 

• 3+ years of graphic design and marketing experience or equivalent education 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud - specifically Adobe Illustrator and InDesign 
• Ability to work within Squarespace and Wix platforms 
• Strong working knowledge of digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google  
• Basic understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and analytics platforms 
• Attention to detail and organized; comfortable multi-tasking to produce high-quality work on tight deadlines 
• Strong interpersonal skills 
• Effective communication, oral, and writing skills 
• Quality problem-solving skills 
• Skillful at planning and organizing promotional programs and events 
• Familiarity with the Mac OS and MS Office platforms 
• Spiritual growth, evident by a life committed to seeking and saving the lost 
• A commitment to the core values and beliefs of One Church 

Nice to Have: 

• Proficiency in Lightroom and Photoshop 
• Photography experience, especially in low light setting and a fast paced environment
