Requirements

• Valid Driver's License: While a CDL may not be required, a valid driver's license is essential for operating company vehicles.

• Clean Driving Record: Candidates should have a clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Reliability and Punctuality: The ability to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts and appointments is crucial.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with participants, colleagues, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
• Empathy and Patience: Non-CDL Drivers should demonstrate empathy and patience when working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
• Physical Stamina: The role may involve assisting participants with mobility and transportation needs, so candidates should have the physical stamina to perform these tasks, while being able lift 20 pounds.
• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is important for ensuring the safety and well-being of participants during transportation.
• Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Non-CDL Drivers should adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations while operating vehicles.
• Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and participant needs is essential in this role.
• Commitment to Mission: Candidates should demonstrate a genuine commitment to the mission and value.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no suspensions, reckless driving or DUIs)
• Ability to safely operate and navigate a passenger car/van
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of the adult developmental and intellectual disabilities industry.
• Bilingual
• Previous driving experience
