Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

Pay Type: Salaried, Contract

Clearance Req: TS/SCI - Full-Scope Polygraph

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

RSekure is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with mid to senior-level experience in College Park, MD to work with our customer's network systems team. This position will be responsible for maintaining both Linux and Windows information systems, ensuring proper security configurations and maximum uptime. An ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of integrating GOTS/COTS/open-source solutions, virtualization technology, networking and TCP/IP protocols, storage technologies, and remote access.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain information systems and their appropriate security posture.
  • Perform Linux and Microsoft Windows system administration tasks and solid knowledge to manage the security aspects of an information system.
  • Review and test systems for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
  • Physically setup, cable, and power computers in classified and unclassified spaces for new programs or new computer additions.
  • Create custom solutions or provide commercial tool recommendations to automate audits procedures where SCAP Compliant Checker lacks proper functions to support.
  • Support ISSM to perform audit tasks as needed.
  • Travel not required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server system administration as well as network engineering.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering IT and telecommunications systems and solutions.
  • Ability to work complex projects as a senior contributor within a development team consisting of customer and contractor personnel.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working directly with customers.
  • Management skills and experience directing technical staff, including contractor personnel.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.)
  • 6+ years of experience in systems administration.
Desired Certifications and Licenses
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Server+, or other similar qualifications desired.
  • CompTIA (Sec+, Net+, etc.) or other relevant certifications are a bonus.
Special Requirements
  • TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph.
Work Environment

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.

Physical Demands

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
