Art Teacher

Shoreline Christian School, located north of Seattle, is seeking a dynamic Art teacher starting in the 24-25 school year.

This is a unique opportunity to integrate faith and learning in action and to individualize attention while developing the God-given strengths of each student. Due to  small class sizes, there is more room to work with each student, targeting areas that need development and fine-tuning those strengths. More than merely teaching students the raw building blocks of learning, you will enable students to live as dynamic and transforming influences in the world.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in Christian education and a degree in elementary education are highly desirable. As a community with a shared statement of faith, an active, intentional, and embodied Christian faith is essential. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check, receipt of all college transcripts, and all other state requirements for private schools.

Minimum: 

• Bachelor degree in education or related field
• A valid teaching certificate 

Preferred:

• A  bachelor degree in Education 
• A valid Washington State teaching certificate 
• Knowledge of and/or experience with instruction of youth using sound research-based instruction, best practices, and pedagogy
• Knowledge of and application of educational technology
