Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The industrial spray painter will spray surfaces of manufactured products with H paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of manufactured products, such as pump connectors, LPG/NH3 and Accessory Adapters to name a few.
· Operate paint spray gun, maintain & clean.
· Conduct visual inspection on assemblies before painting.
· Prep parts prior to painting, includes tapping ends & wiping down parts.
· Buffing / polishing parts.
· Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
· Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
· Able to read drawings, tape measure & work orders.
· Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
· Willingness to take direction from area lead and follow that direction and to be a self-starter when not working under direct supervision.
· General housekeeping.
· Reliable and prompt in attendance.
· Assist other areas of the shipping department when needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System
· Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products
· Preferred experience in a fast-paced production environment
· Must complete Respirator training course & Pulmonary evaluation.
· Must be able to wear respirator over the course of the day.
· Must wear safety toe boots, PPE, safety glasses etc.
· Lift up to 45lbs safely throughout the shift unassisted & over 45lbs using team lifting
· Prefer 1 year of painting experience.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, (operate spray gun) handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
