Maintenance Technician

Wakefield Residential is offering an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician with great technical and people skills to play a key role at The Woods Apartment community in Lynnwood, Washington.

Maintenance Tech Responsibilities:

• Complete general maintenance tasks, including service requests, turnover-functions and curb appeal in timely manner
• Troubleshoot and repair most major and all minor mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances
• Complete all service orders with minimal call-backs
• Ensure property, vacant apartments, and common areas are clean and free of trash
• Work with and/or around paints, pool chemicals, and other potentially hazardous materials
• Provide professional customer service at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a maintenance role REQUIRED
• Ability to function effectively in customer service atmosphere
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
• Available for emergency on-call duties over the weekend once a month
• Basic computer skills and strong written/oral communication are required

Working Environment:

• Maintenance Techs work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels
• May work in cold and hot temperatures, or inclement weather conditions including snow, rain, wind
• Exposure to chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes.
• Maintenance Techs will interact courteously with residents, guests and staff and must follow all applicable policies, and procedures

Schedule: Monday- Friday or Tuesday - Saturday, 8am-5pm with one hour lunch

Salary: Starting at $26-30 depending on experience with regular salary increases and lots of room for growth
