MECHANIC NEEDED - CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT (Akron)
We are seeking a, dependable, and proficient mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should be organized and knowledgeable, able to manage multiple ongoing tasks, able to troubleshoot mechanical/ engine issues, repair devices, and install and maintain complex mechanical systems. As a qualified mechanic, you will repair and maintain systems (engines on commercial construction equipment and automotive commercial vehicles). The ideal mechanic will have to be able to quickly and effectively perform routine maintenance, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems on commercial construction machinery and automotive vehicles.
Our mechanic will daily/ regularly be working specifically on various construction equipment and vehicles: lull, skid steer/ bobcat, tow motor, rough terrain forklifts, man lifts (scissor and telescoping), aerial lifts, hydraulic scaffold, cut-off saws, cement mixers, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, light-duty trucks, semi-trucks, etc. Routine maintenance of machinery and equipment, small engine repair, cables, batteries, brakes, oil changes, etc. are all part of everyday responsibilities. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as they arise, with equipment being operated out on various job sites, is absolutely necessary.
**A Valid Driver License is Required for this position!** *** CDL is a PLUS!!! ***
Again, preventative maintenance and regular servicing of equipment are key!
A typical day may include routine repair and maintenance tasks, but also: managing/keeping track of inventory in the yard/ garage as well as on job sites; delivering and collecting our larger equipment to/ from various area job sites (CDL is needed); driving a service truck to make service calls to job sites to troubleshoot and repair machinery in the field as necessary.
This is a Permanent, Full-time, Year-Round position located in Akron, OH. Weekly Pay.
**MUST Be: dependable, reliable, knowledgeable, both physically and mentally fit, and have reliable transportation to work daily.
Candidates MUST ALREADY live in the local area! NO Independent Contractors (those paid by 1099s), NO Per Diem Pay, NO Relocations, MUST be Authorized to Work In USA. We are a Drug-Free Workplace.
