Job Description

Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. You wil have primary responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports for several engineering and technical companies. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of financial accounting, contract management, and budgeting. Your ability to work independently and your previous work experience, along with a degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification, are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical)
  • Analyze transactions and prepare financial statements and reports using percentage completion methodology for capital projects
  • Oversee payroll and all related payroll tax forms
  • Oversee contract management and compliance and prepare related financial reports
  • Prepare economic analyses and reports
  • Prepare multi-year capital and operational budgets
  • Oversee schedules for preparation of tax returns by outside tax accountant
  • Oversee and monitor bookkeeping activities
  • Keep company financial information confidential
  • Establish accounting policies and procedures
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
  • Perform system development activities as needed, including real-time data-based functions

Requirements

  • BS degree in Accounting and a Florida Certified Public Accountant certification and license in good standing
  • Proven work experience as a CPA
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with accounting software, including QuickBooks.
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, LOOKUPs, and pivot tables), Word, Adobe, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a CPA in a corporate or comparable setting
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Consistent, accurate, and thorough
  • Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
  • Able to manage deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
