Accountant

White Lotus Group is seeking a Property Accountant ready to join our growing company. Job Description

• Assist in monthly financial statement preparation and work with the Controller to prepare reporting packages for management, investors, and financial partners.
• Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
• Improve the overall financial close process.
• Document internal accounting processes/controls.
• Participate in the annual budget process.
• Investigate monthly budget variances and provide commentary to management.
• Help onboard new properties as our dynamic company expands.
• Aid in the year-end audits and budgets.
• Manage the fixed asset systems and prepare related journal entries for depreciation, fixed asset acquisitions and disposals.
• Prepare property tax returns.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances, prepare statements, and assist in managing collections.
• Backup the accounts payable team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience with Yardi preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Hands-on property accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Great communication skills with an openness to feedback necessary for continued growth and development.
• The ability to work independently.
• Analytical mindset, comfortable with numbers and problem-solving.
• Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality.
• Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting

This role offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, in a great work environment.
