Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturer of automotive parts is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for their Saginaw, Michigan plant.
Shift: 3 shift rotation
Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Industry: Industrial manufacturing of automotive parts
Position: Maintenance Mechanic
Skills Required:
Must be Safety oriented individual
Self-starting team oriented individuals with good technical and people skills
To qualify you must have one of the following:
Journeyman's card
Completed a Department of Labor - Certified Program
Experience as an Industrial Machine Repairperson, preferably 8 years
Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot problems to make repairs on industrial automotive equipment
Ability to read and understand prints for:
o Hydraulic systems/circuits
Including Chemical/Oil/Water based fluids
o Pneumatic systems/circuits
o Steam systems/circuits
Ability to:
o Do pipe, tubing and steam fitting work
o Do fixture and mechanical repairs on industrial equipment
o Do spindle repair and lube system repairs
o Operate tool room type equipment (lathe, mill, saw, drill press, etc.)
o Arc, MIG and TIG weld
o Use an oxygen/acetylene torch and plasma cutter
o Operate heavy lifting fork trucks
o Operate mobile cranes
Experience rigging using chains, slings and chokers from mobile cranes and overhead cranes
Experience working on power conveyors, roller conveyors, chain driven conveyor belts, gearboxes/reducers, clutches, sprockets, couplings, bearings and misc. material handling equipment
Experience installing/rearranging and debugging industrial equipment
