Machine Shop Stock Cutter

As a stock cutter, you will specialize in cutting raw metal stock and organizing the machine shops workflow within in a market supplying $40.9 billion dollars of automated packaging machinery worldwide to Consumer-Packaged Good’s companies needing to package their products as they come off their production line(s). We’re looking for someone to join our machine shop team to help increase machine shops ability to make parts by quickly and effectively cutting stock to be machined. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Cut stock 1/16 over print specs  

• Set up working shelf in order of job priority  

• Put away stock as it comes in and keep working/stock area clear  

• Maintain saws  

• Sandblast frame weldments  

Qualifications:  

• Highschool diploma or GED preferred  

• Willingness to learn about cutting and machining  

• Previous experience working with different type of metals and plastics including but not limited to aluminum, stainless steel, and UHMW is a plus  

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant around machinery (5 day on-site role in Randolph, MA) 

• Ability to read a scale and other measuring instruments  

Pay & Benefits:  

• Compensation $16-19/hr (standard 45 hour working week with 5 hours of OT at 1.5x hr rate)
