Job Description

Our client, an established and growing E&P operating company is seeking an experienced Sr. Development Geophyisicist to work in a team to develop deepwater Gulf of Mexico fields.

Client has an very interesting company culture, with the right combination of entrepreneurial spirit/focus with larger company resources and science. This is a direct hire position with a very competitive compensation plan (base, cash bonus and LTI), nice benefits and the position is open due to growth in deepwater Gulf of Mexico projects. The company is flexible offering a nice hybrid office/work from home schedule.

Keys for success include:

  • BS in Geophysics or Geology, Masters is preferred
  • 10+ years O&G Co. exp. with current or previous deepwater clastic field development exp.
  • Excellent seismic intperpreter with well tie analysis and using seismic attributes to determine reservoir quality, distribution and fluids
  • Experience working for an oil and gas operating company
  • Petrel software experience is essential in developing drillable prospects
  • Experience working with industry operators in both non-op and operating environments
  • Have development team experience and ability to work cooperatively with multi-discipline teams, other operators and varied governments
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident experience required
