PRIMARY FUNCTION
PE LABELLERS USA is seeking Mechanical Engineering Intern to join their team for the summer (May – August). The Mechanical Engineering Intern under specific direction will develop the documentation for a specific project that they are working where a modest use of independent judgement and technical skills are required. This role reports to the Director of Operations at PE LABELLERS USA.
Job Description:
- Update detail drawings per assembly, engineering checking, or fabrication changes.
- Review rough sketches and engineering specifications and modify engineering drawings as directed by designers.
- Complete engineering changes, revising drawings and bill of materials.
- Prepare customer proposal layouts for sales.
- Respond to questions from manufacturing personnel, purchasing or fabrication, related to clarifications of drawings.
- Assign part numbers to fabricated and commercial parts using departmental procedures.
- Review project milestones weekly to ensure timely execution of milestones.
- Work in assembly or machining areas as required under supervision.
- Completes other tasks requested by Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Familiar with Solidworks, Inventor and AutoCAD or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints and mechanical drawings
- Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time working on computer
- Ability to stand for long periods of time working on machinery or machine tools.
- Climb up or crawl under equipment
